Archant KOS Media MD Paul Stannard gets expanded role in the company, and new publisher Mike Deedigan sees “many opportunities to be explored in the Garden of England”
The managing director of Archant KOS Media is expanding his role as the company looks to create new products for readers and advertisers.
Paul Stannard, the founder of KOS Media in 2002, is starting in the new role of Group Business Operations Director for our parent company Archant, from Monday.
In his new role he will be based at Archant KOS Media’s offices in Ashford, where he will continue to be involved in future business developments and acquisitions.
As part of these changes, Archant KOS Media will be getting the benefit of added senior management experience with the appointment of Mike Deedigan as publisher in Kent.
Mr Deedigan said: “I am looking forward to working in Kent with such an experienced and talented team.
“There are so many opportunities to be explored in the Garden of England, and I hope to build on the relationships and award-winning reputation that have been built up over the last decade.”
Mr Deedigan has a wealth of experience running newspapers, magazines, and websites, and he will work with the existing senior management team to develop these services for readers and advertisers.
Archant is the UK’s largest independently owned regional media business. It is a community media company active in the fields of regional newspaper and magazine publishing, contract printing and internet communications. All its titles serve clearly defined communities, based around locations or interest groups.
Mr Stannard said: “I am really excited at being involved in such a diverse portfolio across the UK. I expect to bring new media ideas and products to my home county as part of my new role. I am delighted Mike is coming to Kent, and I am sure he and I will be working on one or two new projects over the coming months.
“He will bring some fresh ideas, and with an enlarged team we will be well placed to grow our business in the county.”
