Woman seriously injured in traffic accident

Police are appealing for witnesses
YOURTHANET NEWS:

An elderly woman suffered a broken leg and stomach injuries after a traffic accident in Westgate.

The 80-year-old was flown to King’s College Hospital in London by Kent Air Ambulance. Her injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Police were called at 11.20am on Friday last week (Jan 5) to reports of an accident in Minster Road.

Minster Road and Linksfield Road were closed to allow for Kent Police’s serious collision investigation unit to make enquiries.

Drivers were re-routed around the Westgate area.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to phone police on 01622 690690.
