Motorists warned of ice and snow on county’s roads

Road gritters are out on the county’s roadds today as temperatures are expected to well below freezing overnight.

An Kent Highway Services also warned that there was a risk of light snow falling, mainly in the north and east of the county.

In anticipation of this the main roads throughout Kent will be treated to help prevent the formation of ice and frost on road surfaces this evening.

Motorists are advised to watch out for icy patches/stretches particularly on the untreated roads overnight and into

tomorrow morning, and allow extra time for journeys.
